An award-winning theater company and a folk band, PigPen Theatre Company embarked on their first national concert tour of the United States in 2014. Having known the seven guys of Pigpen during my time at the Orchard Project, I approached them about designing the tour’s poster and apparel. They provided the concept of an old man playing his beard as a fiddle for the shirt, while I proposed the ‘troubadour fox’ concept for the show poster. Both designs were completely hand-drawn and painted, with a final digital composition. All of the instruments included in the poster were of the same models as the ones played on tour.
