As the Communications intern of Search for Common Ground (SFCG), I helped develop a variety of projects that promoted the organization’s mission of conflict resolution and peace-building. Two projects in particular were highlights: the annual report and a logo for a new radio show.
Created for public distribution amongst coworkers, shareholders, donors, and the public, the annual report combined compelling stories of success with the cold hard facts and statistics of the programs in order to raise awareness and also hold the organization accountable to its vision and mission.
I also designed a logo for a Timor-Leste radio drama series titled Karau Dikur Ba Dame, which means “Buffalo Horn for Peace” in the local Tetun language. Produced by SFCG in partnership with USAID, the series explore topics such as “unemployment, domestic violence, youth conflict and youth manipulation” through the lens of a Timor-Leste family. As of September 2014, the series is slated for a second season.
